These flags were in Tynemouth, a month or three back.

Sitting watching the world go by, back in the summer. I wish it was still this sunny…

grainger

An entrance to the Grainger Market.

I hadn’t realised that the reason it wasn’t open on Sundays and bank hols is that the traders voted not to. Good on you market traders – the world would be a better place if we all made an effort to give ourselves a proper day off!

westgate

There’s something about the combination of the sign with its rusty nails, the sky and the bricks here that I just love.

Tower

tower

A tower (handily labelled, just in case you weren’t sure) in Ouseburn, which I just noticed the other day you can see from Byker Bridge. I particularly love the crocodile… crocodiles? Not sure whether it’s one, or two, or a Siamese crocodile – what do you think?

flowers

I liked yesterday’s flowers so I thought what the hey… these are completely different, but I love them too! The day I took this was as grey as it is today, too :-/

It’s really nice to be back. What’s been going on in Internet-Land? Have I missed anything good?

poppies

I’m not really sure what happened.

One minute it was June and nearly my son’s second birthday and I was just a day or two behind, and now it’s… September?! The schools have broken up and gone back, it’s noticeably colder, and I didn’t post in nearly three months, despite resolving to do so almost every single day.

Still, onwards and upwards! I’m back now, with plenty of pics to post, and I’m all full of new-term determination.

What did I miss? How are you all? Hope everything is well….

This pic, taken on St Mary’s Place, is from a month or two back. I am loving the council’s idea to save money by growing wildflowers instead of cutting the grass. Genius. The poppies especially have been absolutely beautiful.

Great Coffee…

great coffee

… is apparently what you get in here. I’ve never tried it out so can’t vouch for it. Great building though!

I can’t tell you how long I had to crouch on the floor to even attempt to get this building straight in the picture. It drove me mad. If you’re the guy who walk past saying something along the lines of ‘whatever it takes the get the picture right’… then hi! *waves*
