Today (it’s still before midnight, shut up!!!!) is the 162nd anniversary… of Queen Victoria opening the High Level Bridge.

These plaques, however, are in Central Station. I’m not quite sure what’s going on there! I found some discussion of it on SkyscraperCity here but it doesn’t seem to come to any actual conclusion.

They’ve been there a little while, but they are now active. You will need a valid ticket to get to your platform.
