Quayside Market

May 31, 2012  |  Newcastle upon Tyne, Quayside  |  3 Comments

Looking down a bit from yesterday’s shot you can see the first (or last?) few stalls of the Sunday Quayside Market. Was down there last weekend (… obviously). It was scorching hot. Loved it.

The top of the Guildhall, the sky, the branches… love this shot! Shame the weather hasn’t lasted :/

sitting in the sunshine

People appear from nowhere to sit on the grass outside the Civic when the sun appears. This was actually quite quiet!

Lichen and changes of focus

Lichen on a wall outside the church of St John the Baptist as featured a few days ago. Was playing around with focus. What do you think?

Flowers

These flowers were outside a bar (or maybe a cafe?) in Tynemouth. I don’t like pink (!) but they were stunning.

These colourful houses are on Westgate Road. Have they always been like this?! If so I’ve obviously been failing in my ‘looking up’ duties round there…!

Dance City reflection

Another one of those pics that’s two pictures in one. You can see the reflection of the building opposite here, too.

Benches

I’ve posted a pic of these before but hardly anyone had noticed the seahorses on the sides, so I thought maybe I’d post them again. Had you seen them?

New street signs

After posting the old sign a few days ago, I thought I’d post a pic of the new ones. They’re really not the same, are they??
