As seen on the Metro yesterday. I love you guys. Britain is hilarious.

Oh, and I forgot to set up the blog to post without me so you might not get a photo for awhile… I’m sorry! If I had time i’d set it up but it takes forever. I’ll get one up as soon as I can.

See you on the other side of the Atlantic!

The decor inside the Charles Grey at the foot of Grey’s Monument features a selection of trees much like this one that seem to grow right out of the “woodwork”.

Two days left! Eeee!

Bonus video Footage in honour of St. Patrick’s Day. The song is “Dawning of the Day.”

Happy St. Patrick’s day, guys!

In the metro stations, there are signs telling you when the next train is to arrive. This particular one is in the Whitley Bay station.

FYI: I’m going back to the states in 4 days to stay for three weeks. I will set this up to post pictures in my absence (a couple reposts maybe, a few new) but that will make RSS feeds not work. Just so you know.

Holy Jesus Hospital

holy, newcastle, uk

The Holy Jesus Hospital survives amid 1960s city centre developments, displaying features from all periods of its 700-year existence. There are remains of the 14th-century Augustinian friary, 16th-century fortifications connected with the Council of the North, a 17th-century almshouse built for the Freemen of the City and a 19th-century soup kitchen. The National Trust’s Inner City Project is now based here, working to provide opportunities for modern inner-city dwellers to gain access to and enjoy the countryside on their doorstep. An exhibition room is open to visitors and guided tours of the whole site are offered once a month.

FYI: I’m going back to the states in 5 days to stay for three weeks. I will set this up to post pictures in my absence (a couple reposts maybe, a few new) but that will make RSS feeds not work. Just so you know.

I don’t know what kind of flower this is, but I saw it on my way home and had to photograph it. It sort of reminds me of a Tudor Rose in a way.

Town Wall

town hall, newcastle, uk

Continuing with a “ruined castles” theme, here’s the town wall, located in the city centre!

The Corner Tower: Two turrets at right angles to one another. At this point, in the early 14th century, the wall was turned east to enclose the newly acquired suburb of Pandon.
